How Gas Cylinders have Changed Over Time

More and more people nowadays are becoming more eco conscious and wanting to reduce their carbon footprints. This is because there are a lot of warnings out there about global warming. We are confronted with images everyday of homeless polar bears and melting glaciers. This makes many of us fearful and makes us want to make a change for the better. It also has encouraged companies to reduce their negative impact on the environment in many ways, including creating gas cartridges which are recyclable.

Gas cylinders are items that are used to store pressurized gaseous materials including carbon dioxide, argon, nitrous oxide and other gasses. These handy tools are used in a large variety of different industries such as the military, the aviation industry, medical science, construction, vets’ offices, transportation, food and beverage businesses and much, much more. Due to the need for planet-friendly materials, the gas cylinder has undergone multiple facelifts and transformations to make it what it is today.

The original gas cylinder and nitrous oxide cartridges were made from extremely durable and heavy steel and were very cumbersome. This made them difficult to transport and also required companies having to empty them out and reuse them because of their massive size. Businesses simply reused empty ones to save money on buying brand new gas cylinders.

Despite this being both good for the environment and good for company’s budgets, it produced a safety hazard for the people working with the cylinders. Over time, little cracks and holes appeared in the gas cylinders from daily wear and tear. As they decomposed, they became dangerous because lethal gases could twinkle out from them and harm those who were close by.

To help save money and to keep the employees from getting injured, scientists created disposable gas cylinders. These types of gas cylinders are much more light weight than their more clunky ancestors and also can be recycled after being used. This helps to keep people safe, budgets down, and is exceptionally good for the earth. Plus, disposable gas cylinders can be moved from place to place much more efficiently because of their small size and manageable weight.

This helps when it comes to industries such as the medical field. Nurses and doctors desperately need their gas cylinders to be easy to carry so that they can get them to their patients in a quick and effective manner so that they can easily dispense medicine to them.

Like many different things in today’s ever changing world, gas cylinders have undergone many evolutions to help make them better and much more eco friendly. This not only helps the earth stay green, but keeps a little green in company’s wallets and also helps to keep their workers out of danger. Disposable cylinders are also extremely easy to move around, so they can be used better in different industries, such as in hospitals to give people medicine. This helps the world and its citizens and is great.
